Wesley was introduced to
fishing at a very young age by his grandfather. Ever since he was a
kid, fishing has been his passion. Fishing is a tradition in his
family. Wesley could often find a friend or relative to take him out
fishing, whether it be at the "tank" down the street from his
house, out on a boat in a lake, or to a river. For his entire
childhood, almost every family event revolved around fishing. Wes
has spent every available moment with a rod in his hand. If he
couldn't be fishing, you'd find him in front of the TV watching a fishing
tournament, or picking up tips from his favorite TV fishing guides like,
Bill Dance, Keith Warren, and Roland Martin.
Wesley's inherent skill for
fishing became evident at an early age. He quite regularly out
fished the adults who took him out fishing.
Wesley's other grandparents
lived in the Rockport area and frequently took Wesley out on their boat
fishing in the bay, down to a pier, the jetties, or he could fish off the
dock behind their house. It's from his grandparents that Wesley has
come to intimately know the waters in and around Rockport.
To further hone his skills,
Wesley worked a couple summers as a full-time deck hand for some of the
finest guides in the Rockport area. Besides getting a chance to fish
everyday, he gained more knowledge from the masters and learned the ins
and outs of professional guiding.
Let Captain Wes share his
lifelong love of fishing with you and give you a productive fishing trip
you'll remember for years to come.
